STOP COUNTING THE COST……..

“Dreams do come true, if only we wish hard enough. You can have anything in life if you will sacrifice everything else for it.” – J.M BARRIE                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           ( PETER PAN )

So today I will talk straight forward and I will be very precise to all my readers . My only question to you is if you DREAM then why the hell you COUNT THE COST ??

Now let me explain to those who still are not sure what I am trying to say . By counting the cost I mean to say why you stop yourself from making sacrifices for your dreams .

Now if you want to LOOSE SOME WEIGHT… you cannot afford to count the cost.. You need to give up sweets , fat , oily stuff. I know its CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR down the line but if you really want to lose weight and be fit then my friend you have to avoid that CHRISTMAS cake , you have to say NO to your friends for pizza and burger party , you have to stick to a strict diet regime   , while the others enjoy tasty food and you  will have to sleep early so that you can wake up early for a run . Now I know it is difficult and that is why most of you plan to lose weight , but fail . Now its beyond my control dude . You can not count the cost…..

If you need to score well in the coming exams.. Its simple pick up your books and get glued to your study table . Now you have to miss your favourite TV shows , the finals of the football tournament , or a cricket match or you have to miss some parties or hangouts . Remember just one thing you CANNOT COUNT THE COST . Whatever it takes to get to your dreams just give it all….

Stop behaving like THE ORDINARY if you do want to be EXTRA-ORDINARY . Stop doing average things if you want to achieve GREATNESS .

The bigger the dream , more painful are the SACRIFICES – PAKHANDI PANDIT

Listen friends 2013 is a wrap…No matter how hard you try you will never get NOVEMBER 2013 again . So you cannot afford to miss a chance to make a sacrifice for your own DREAM..If you want a prosperous and successful 2014 , the time is now to PREPARE.

Just make a list of all the sacrifices you make and  I promise , the length of the list will be directly proportional to  the success you will enjoy  in future.

ROBERT BALLARD : THE MAN WHO DISCOVERED “TITANIC”

robert-ballard

“Patience , persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success ” – NAPOLEON HILL

Working in the control room of the salvage vessel Seaprobe at two o’clock one morning in 1977, Robert Ballard was jolted by a massive piece of equipment that crashed onto the deck just three feet above him. The ship shook with the force of an explosion. A drill pipe and its attached pod full of sonar and video gear had snapped and plunged into the Atlantic, abruptly ending the explorer’s test run to find the RMS Titanic.

“I lost a lot of credibility with sponsors, who had loaned the $600,000 worth of stuff” for the 1977 expedition. “It took me eight years to recover from that.” But recover he did, despite skepticism from other scientists, failed fund-raising efforts and other setbacks.

After the Seaprobe debacle, Ballard says, “I was back to square one. I had to come up with another way to search for the Titanic.”

He returned to active duty as a U.S. Navy officer assigned to intelligence work. At a time when the Cold War was still being waged, the marine geologist cut a deal with Navy officials. He would offer his expertise if they funded the development and testing of Argo, a camera-equipped underwater robot critical to the Titanic mission, and allowed him to use it for exploration.

The Navy sent Ballard and Argo on classified missions to survey Thresher and Scorpion, two nuclear submarines that sank during the 1960s. Those vessels lay in waters not far from the Titanic. After surveying the Scorpion in 1985, Ballard began looking for the doomed luxury liner. And two miles down, in the dark sea at 49° 56′ W, 41° 43′ N, he found it.

The oceanographer, who later found the German battleship Bismarck, the liner Lusitania, and other historic wrecks, has a simple philosophy.Failure and success are bedfellows, so I’m ready to fail.”

GREAT WORK NEED TIME , PATIENCE AND BELIEVE…

THE STRONGEST OF THE WARRIORS ARE THESE TWO – MECCA MANUSCRIPT

We have a tendency to expect results right from the moment we started to do anything . Some even imagine the result before even started doing work . They go day dreaming so as to what and how will things be when he/she will do work .

Results or end goal is the driving force for many of us . Well according to me it may benefit some but in most cases it is just a thing which distracts you from your ultimate target .

Remember  if you are achieving something and you are not tested on two of the most important parameters – TIME and PATIENCE , then my friend you have achieved something very ordinary and if you look around yourself you will find many achieving the same thing or even better .

Once you decide to achieve great heights and to reach such a level where only a few can get then be prepared to be tested on the above two parameters . All those who have ever been successful know this secret and so they never felt anxious when things are not working and they neither felt baffled when there are no results . They knew they will get the desired results one day .

You never try to build they biggest , the strongest wall in the world . If you are asked to do so , then you just go to the place and lay one brick at a time , as perfectly as you can , and that is it . Then again go another day and lay the second brick . Soon you will have a wall .

You never try to be the fastest piano player in the world and dream that every day . If you dream to be one , then you just go to your classes regularly , without skipping one , and do as you are asked to do by your teacher . Soon after an year you will see your fingers floating over the board .

So in your journey to be successful do not try to be extraordinary the very first day , just try to be THE BEST POSSIBLE YOU , and give time and patience in your thing .

Nourish your art with TIME and PATIENCE , and soon you will have a tree bearing the sweetest fruits of SUCCESS – PAKHANDI PANDIT

STEVEN SPIELBERG : THE KID WHO STAYS WITH THE CAMERA

“I don’t dream at night, I dream at day, I dream all day; I’m dreaming for living.”- STEVEN SPIELBERG

He was no scholar, and his classmates teased him. Rather than read, the kid really preferred running around with a 8 mm camera, shooting homemade movies of wrecks of his Lionel train set (which he showed to friends for a small fee).

In his sophomore year of high school, he dropped out. But when his parents persuaded him to return, he was mistakenly placed in a learning-disabled class. He lasted one month. Only when the family moved to another town did he land in a more suitable high school, where he eventually graduated.

After being denied entrance into a traditional film-making school, Steven Spielberg enrolled in English at California State College at Long Beach. Then in 1965, he recalls, in one of those serendipitous moments, his life took a complete turn. Visiting Universal Studios, he met Chuck Silvers, an executive in the editorial department. Silvers liked the kid who made 8 mm films and invited him back sometime to visit.

He appeared the next day. Without a job or security clearance, Spielberg (dressed in a dark suit and tie, carrying his father’s briefcase with nothing inside but “a sandwich and candy bars”) strode confidently up to the guard at the gate of Universal and gave him a casual wave. The guard waved back. He was in.

“For the entire summer,” Spielberg remembers, “I dressed in my suit and hung out with the directors and writers [including Silvers, who knew the kid wasn’t a studio employee, but winked at the deception]. I even found an office that wasn’t being used, and became a squatter. I bought some plastic tiles and put my name in the building directory: Steven Spielberg, Room 23C.”

It paid off for everyone. Ten years later, the 28-year-old Spielberg directed Jaws, which took in $470 million, then the highest-grossing movie of all time. Dozens of films and awards have followed because Steven Spielberg knew what his teachers didn’t — talent is in the eyes of the filmmaker.

THE JOURNEY MAY SEEM TO BE IMPOSSIBLE AT THE START , YOU JUST NEED TO FORGET ABOUT THE END GOAL… ENJOY THE JOURNEY AND KEEP YOUR DREAMS ALIVE IN YOUR HEART……. THATS THE KEY TO ACHIEVE GREATNESS – PAKHANDI PANDIT

You will never achieve GREATNESS unless you…. CRY…..WORKING HARD for it…

The problem with most of us is that we dream really BIG . Now I know its good to dream BIG but dreaming alone will not fetch you the prize . The bigger you dream , the harder you need to work . This is where the problem starts . People complain that despite working hard for a long time they do not get RESULTS . At this point they get frustrate and stop working hard .

“If it had been that simple to rule the jungle , there would have been many KINGS” – PAKHANDI PANDIT

The lion rule he jungle and he is the supreme king . When you dream big you chose not only CONSISTENT HARD WORK but also a COMPETITION with group of most talented people who are diligently working for the same goal . Now when we work our 100 % we think that we are giving everything what we have and so we start expecting results . The problem is we would definitely get the results if we had been running the RACE ALONE .

Bigger dreams do not require an average EFFORT from you , they will not also tolerate a GOOD PREPARATION . They need the GREATNESS hidden inside you to play the GAME . You need to work insanely night and day . People should feel insecure seeing you WORKING HARD .  Their should be rumour about you being successful in the coming years . People should give your example . And you meanwhile without being deviated from all these praises must work harder and harder and harder .

SLEEP when you are assured of that you cannot stay awake anymore

EAT when you are assured that it would not be a waste of time

PARTY when you are sure that you have achieved your nearest goal .

REST……………… are you kidding me……GREATNESS and REST are ANTONYMS……..

 BE PHENOMENAL…………..OR BE FORGOTTEN

I WISH WOMEN IN INDIA COULD actually “LIVE”

 images

Just watched a heart-rending video made against those who force GIRLS in INDIA to work as a prostitute . The video showed how WE men , silently watch everything happening and do not take any action .

I am just feeling sorry for all those girls who in their teenage face such situations . Born as a boy I never have to go through daily struggles which a girl faces . More over poverty in INDIA cause many girls to work against their will . Their childhood is spoiled and they are just helpless to do anything for themselves .

Today I just feel how stupid we INDIANs are to worry about the economic growth in INDIA , the expenses we are making on our DEFENCE SYSTEM , the infrastructural development and its comparison with other countries and many other such things which are not even close to some of the serious issues pertaining in INDIA which really want a national attention .

IN the election campaigns nowadays , the parties are just focusing on two things : WHAT “WE” DID  and WHAT “THEY” DID’NT DID .

Some of the core issues remain untouched even before the elections . The recent BANGALORE case , the DELHI GANG RAPE case and many such other atrocities done , are not even bothered to discuss . All candidates discuss is how many scams and scandals the other party has done , the corrupt leaders other parties have and so on .

I really feel that THE WOMEN thing is not in the hands of the government .It will be useless if we hope that government will do something to curb these incidents . I think WE have to bring the change from within the society. A collaborative approach is required from the ground level to make things better for WOMEN in INDIA .

I will be starting a campaign very soon to make an effort to do something right for the women around me .I just request all the men to please behave like MAN and save the dignity of WOMEN around you .

Remember IN EACH WOMEN you can see YOUR MOTHER , SISTER or WIFE so please if you watch anything which you think can hurt the dignity of women , may it be stalking or a general comment , try to STOP THAT because your mother , sister or wife will be facing the same thing somewhere else in your absence and your small step can help THEM to get away from such situation .

I LOVE INDIA and I WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO POINT A FINGER ON MY MOTHER LAND . So LETS MAKE INDIA A GREAT NATION . RESPECT WOMEN .

JAI HIND.

This is the video I was talking about . DO WATCH AND SHARE.

AN UNTOLD STORY – 1892 STANFORD UNIVERSITY…….

courtesy

An 18-year-old student was struggling to pay his fees. He was an orphan, and not knowing where to turn for money, he came up with a bright idea. A friend and he decided to host a musical concert on campus to raise money for their education.

They reached out to the great pianist Ignacy J. Paderewski. His manager demanded a guaranteed fee of $2000 for the piano recital. A deal was struck and the boys began to work to make the concert a success.

The big day arrived. Paderewski performed at Stanford. But unfortunately, they had not managed to sell enough tickets. The total collection was only $1600. Disappointed, they went to Paderewski and explained their plight. They gave him the entire $1600, plus a cheque for the balance $400. They promised to honour the cheque at the soonest possible.

“No,” said Paderewski. “This is not acceptable.” He tore up the cheque, returned the $1600 and told the two boys: “Here’s the $1600. Please deduct whatever expenses you have incurred. Keep the money you need for your fees. And just give me whatever is left”. The boys were surprised, and thanked him profusely.

It was a small act of kindness. But it clearly marked out Paderewski as a great human being.

Why should he help two people he did not even know? We all come across situations like these in our lives. And most of us only think “If I help them, what would happen to me?” The truly great people think, “If I don’t help them, what will happen to them?” They don’t do it expecting something in return. They do it because they feel it’s the right thing to do.

Paderewski later went on to become the Prime Minister of Poland. He was a great leader, but unfortunately when the World War began, Poland was ravaged. There were more than 1.5 million people starving in his country, and no money to feed them. Paderewski did not know where to turn for help. He reached out to the US Food and Relief Administration for help.

The head there was a man called Herbert Hoover — who later went on to become the US President. Hoover agreed to help and quickly shipped tons of foodgrains to feed the starving Polish people.

A calamity was averted. Paderewski was relieved. He decided to go across to meet Hoover and personally thank him. When Paderewski began to thank Hoover for his noble gesture, Hoover quickly interjected and said, “You shouldn’t be thanking me Mr Prime Minister. You may not remember this, but several years ago, you helped two young students go through college in the US. I was one of them.”

The world is a wonderful place. What goes around comes around!
