WINNING AND KNOWING THAT YOU ARE GOING TO WIN !!!!!!!

Was on a break for a couple of months to figure out WHY people around the globe do not turn their successful career and lives into something GREAT , like leaving a LEGACY .

And  I figured out something which I am going to share with all my readers .

Many of us might have secured WINS a lot of times in our lives . May be a high rank in class, college or troop . Any success in business or winning any competition and getting awards for them .

But the thing which I want to ask is HOW many times we actually knew we were going to beat the best . HOW many times we knew we will win that medal . HOW many times we will win a competition .

I think we feel that we have a FAIR CHANCE but still almost all of us are reluctant to say THAT I AM NUMBER 1 .

This is what I want to discuss . I feel the difference is in our PREPARATION .

People like USAIN BOLT , SACHIN TENDULKAR , MICHAEL PHELPS and others like them prepare in a different style than others . They never prepare such that they are in a dilemma on the D-DAY about their success .

They do not leave any loop holes . They prepare day and night to perfect their craft . They are aware of their competitors and so they know they are NOT ALONE IN THE GAME .

More over they do not want to leave any chance for their competitors to bounce on them . Thus on the D-DAY they know THEY ARE GOING TO WIN . Their competitors know they can beat them .

So to all my readers , whatever you do , do as if you are THE BEST in the business . Don’t even aim at the second place . Work hard , day and night . Do not settle for anything less than NUMBER ONE .

ROBERT BALLARD : THE MAN WHO DISCOVERED “TITANIC”

“Patience , persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success ” – NAPOLEON HILL

Working in the control room of the salvage vessel Seaprobe at two o’clock one morning in 1977, Robert Ballard was jolted by a massive piece of equipment that crashed onto the deck just three feet above him. The ship shook with the force of an explosion. A drill pipe and its attached pod full of sonar and video gear had snapped and plunged into the Atlantic, abruptly ending the explorer’s test run to find the RMS Titanic.

“I lost a lot of credibility with sponsors, who had loaned the $600,000 worth of stuff” for the 1977 expedition. “It took me eight years to recover from that.” But recover he did, despite skepticism from other scientists, failed fund-raising efforts and other setbacks.

After the Seaprobe debacle, Ballard says, “I was back to square one. I had to come up with another way to search for the Titanic.”

He returned to active duty as a U.S. Navy officer assigned to intelligence work. At a time when the Cold War was still being waged, the marine geologist cut a deal with Navy officials. He would offer his expertise if they funded the development and testing of Argo, a camera-equipped underwater robot critical to the Titanic mission, and allowed him to use it for exploration.

The Navy sent Ballard and Argo on classified missions to survey Thresher and Scorpion, two nuclear submarines that sank during the 1960s. Those vessels lay in waters not far from the Titanic. After surveying the Scorpion in 1985, Ballard began looking for the doomed luxury liner. And two miles down, in the dark sea at 49° 56′ W, 41° 43′ N, he found it.

The oceanographer, who later found the German battleship Bismarck, the liner Lusitania, and other historic wrecks, has a simple philosophy.Failure and success are bedfellows, so I’m ready to fail.”

Even if you LOSE by an inch…….you are still a LOSER

“My son was almost there” , “He just failed by one mark” , “They lost by just one goal” , “I was just fraction behind him in the race ,and i might have won if……”

I am sure all of you would have came across such remarks , statements or phrases . Most of the time they are thrown to defend somebody or to sympathize somebody on his defeat .    But the truth remains the same , YOU ARE NOT A WINNER .

Its not like those who are successful had never suffered any defeat , its just that they never make any sort of excuses . The average potential guys who deceive themselves and their peers use such phrases and they try to console themselves assuming that they are not very far from that guy / gal who has won .

SUCCESS is ALLERGIC to AVERAGE…………………put this thing into your damn mind. You can’t be successful while operating on the 3rd or 4th gear . You need to hit the top gear .

Doing the same thing and in the same way as others do will land you in the same place as others are . And we very well know that the percentage of successful people are much lesser than the unsuccessful ones.

That  extra bit of effort when everybody quits , that extra hour of study when everybody gets bored , that extra repetition you make while everyone else felt tired , that EXTRA SOMETHING is what makes all the difference and separates the WINNER from the LOSER.

Those who lose could never make up that extra last bit . So gear up , sweat , train hard and don’t quit until you are DONE.
